Overview In this full-time, in-person role in Atlanta, you will coordinate BIM/VDC efforts to support construction projects and resolve coordination issues. You will lead clash resolution, manage modeling deliverables, and track the VDC coordination schedule, collaborating with internal and external teams. You will apply modeling best practices and contribute to VDC standards and company initiatives. This position offers relocation opportunities and a path to grow technical and coordination skills within a dynamic VDC team.
Responsibilities- Facilitate problem solving using technology and collaboration with project teams, both internal and external
- Coordinate workload for one or more projects with VDC Manager(s)
- Manage modeling efforts and deliverables to solve construction issues
- Track the VDC coordination schedule and provide progress updates
- Identify and resolve coordination conflicts using clash detection in Navisworks
- Lead clash resolution and coordination meetings to close items
- Apply modeling best practices and company standards for accurate models
- Conduct quality reviews of modeled scope and ensure contract document compliance
- Apply learnings from training to improve project coordination
- Understand and implement VDC services per standards and best practices
- Contribute to VDC goals and company initiatives
Key requirements- 0-4 years of BIM/VDC experience on commercial construction projects
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Computer Graphics, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent
- Willingness to relocate and travel
- Willingness to learn and develop relevant professional skills
- Knowledge of 3D modeling and coordination tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and other applicable tools
- Understanding of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules
- Basic understanding of the construction management process (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings)
