Overview As Commercial HVAC Estimator, you will serve as the main procurement contact for a branch, partnering with the HVAC Controls Sales team to develop accurate installation cost models. You'll lead subcontractor sourcing, price negotiations, and supplier development to support project delivery. The role bridges field offices and central procurement, ensuring compliant, cost-efficient subcontractor labor. You'll influence outcomes on HVAC construction projects and contribute to Johnson Controls' mission of energy efficiency and reliable performance.

Responsibilities- Partner with Sales during project development to own Subcon Installation pricing
- Determine Subcontractor strategy
- Review total project SOW and clarify Subcontractor requirements
- Use estimating tools to develop baseline Subcontractor Installation Pricing
- Source all 3rd party sub quotes
- Review customer documents for JCI contract provisions to subcontractors
- Develop, host, and review all RFPs
- Establish and maintain effective supplier relationships with internal customers
Key requirements- Electrical industry equivalent experience or bachelor's degree
- Experience in building systems or operational processes
- Works effectively with sales and in team settings
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project
- 5-8+ years as a project manager with estimating experience in HVAC Controls construction or trades
- Electrical industry/installation knowledge a plus
- Procurement experience with construction/HVAC cost analysis and financial knowledge
