Overview

In this role you will serve as the technical authority for SONiC deployments on Cisco Silicon One in hyperscale data centers. You'll guide architecture and operations for AI/ML fabrics, troubleshoot across software and hardware layers, and collaborate with Cisco and customer teams to optimize open networking solutions. This position offers the opportunity to shape next generation data center fabrics and contribute to high scale AI infrastructure. You'll work across Linux, containerized SONiC services, ASIC forwarding, and telemetry to drive reliability and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the technical authority for SONiC deployments on Cisco Silicon One platforms in production environments
  • Provide architectural guidance and operational support for hyperscale data center fabrics supporting AI/ML workloads
  • Troubleshoot issues across the stack (SONiC containers, Linux networking, routing protocols, ASIC forwarding)
  • Perform deep debugging using Silicon One SDK tools and hardware telemetry
  • Support pre production and production environments running SONiC on Cisco platforms (NCS5500, Catalyst 8000, Nexus 3000/9000, NCS1K)
  • Collaborate with silicon architects, SONiC development, and software engineering to resolve defects and improve platform capabilities
  • Optimize fabrics for AI/ML clusters using RoCE and high performance transport
  • Guide customers in DevOps driven operational models including CI/CD for SONiC validation and automation
  • Implement observability, telemetry, and automated validation frameworks to improve hyperscale reliability
  • Act as trusted advisor, building relationships with customer network engineering and infrastructure teams
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years in networking, distributed systems, or hyperscale infrastructure
  • Deep knowledge of data center networking architectures and large-scale routing
  • Strong troubleshooting across software, hardware, and network protocols
  • Experience in large production environments with minimal supervision
  • Cross functional collaboration

  • Container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
