Overview

As Legal Analyst, Product Counsel for Starlink, you will oversee the regulatory aspects of SpaceX's satellite internet and mobile services across 170+ markets. You'll evaluate new products, support launches, and design scalable compliance processes to enable rapid, compliant growth. You'll bridge legal guidance with product and business teams, shaping how Starlink brings services to customers worldwide. This role offers impact in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment at the intersection of technology and regulation. You'll play a key part in expanding Starlink's global footprint while ensuring robust regulatory posture.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as subject matter expert on Starlink's global product portfolio, focusing on legal and regulatory issues
  • Research and analyze regulatory requirements for new products, services, and marketing across multiple countries
  • Design and implement scalable compliance solutions
  • Manage license applications and regulatory filings for product launches
  • Review marketing campaigns for regulatory issues
  • Automate recurring processes and maintain data repositories for efficient reuse of information
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations within Product Counsel
  • Manage regulatory filings such as tariffs and price lists
  • Respond to formal/regulatory customer complaints
  • Support broader regulatory compliance efforts across the legal team
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of professional work experience
  • Experience in a regulated industry (telecommunications, technology, or similar)
  • In-house experience at a technology, telecommunications, or electronics company
  • Experience navigating complex regulatory requirements across multiple countries
  • Strong ability to build practical, scalable processes and workflows
  • Technical skills with tools such as LLMs, Linux, APIs, SQL, or GIS software
  • Startup, consulting, or fast-moving environment experience
  • Ability to communicate regulatory topics to non-legal stakeholders
  • Onsite in Washington, DC (remote not considered)
  • Willingness to work extended hours and/or weekends
  • Clear communication with non-legal stakeholders
