Overview

As Hospitality Director of Finance, you will lead the hospitality accounting function for Hotel Arista and CityGate Centre. You will manage month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to owners and managers. You'll oversee internal controls, cash handling, tax returns, and inventory/operational analytics, ensuring accuracy and strong governance. You work with cross-functional hotel teams to optimize profitability and compliance. This role offers impact through shaping financial operations in a hospitality portfolio within a growing asset-management environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and distribute monthly/annual financial statements and dashboards
  • Plan, direct and coordinate accounting operations for Hotel Arista and CityGate Centre hospitality outlets
  • Supervise accounting team
  • Oversee daily revenue/income audit
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and analysis with dashboards and forecast models
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and financial controls
  • Oversee check book accounting and related controls
  • Oversee monthly F&B physical inventories and inventory analysis
  • Prepare custom reports, respond to questions, and participate in business meetings
  • Prepare and issue daily/weekly/monthly revenue and labor reports to managers
  • Oversee all reconciliations and work papers
  • Prepare tax returns (sales, use, F&B/hotel operators, telecommunications)
  • Safeguard company assets and maintain internal controls
  • Ensure staffing aligns with staffing guides and revenue expectations
  • Complete Departmental P&L/Operating Statement Reviews by the 20th of each month
  • Issue trend reports and dashboards to managers and ownership
  • Conduct periodic training in stand-up/pre-shift meetings
  • Perform related duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • At least 5 years of hotel and accounting experience
  • Experience integrating financial systems and related policies (NetSuite, Power BI, Symphony, Opera, Delphi)
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organization, multitasking, prioritizing, and teamwork
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to motivate, direct and develop staff
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Access and Excel
