Overview In this role you will manage engineering aspects of small projects or portions of larger projects from our Houston office. You will coordinate disciplines, procurement, scheduling, and startup activities to meet safety, budget, and quality objectives. You will support the Project Manager and ensure deliverables align with codes, standards, and project requirements. You will engage with clients, vendors, and internal teams to drive on-time execution and technical consistency. This is a hands-on, cross-discipline role that shapes project outcomes in energy-related environments.
Responsibilities- Coordinate engineering, construction, purchasing, scheduling, and startup activities for assigned project scope
- Support the Project Manager in planning, executing, controlling, and closing small projects or portions of larger projects
- Facilitate communication among engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, procurement, construction, and operations
- Maintain technical quality and compliance with project requirements, codes, standards, and procedures
- Coordinate inputs, reviews, and approvals for project deliverables
- Monitor deliverable progress and support on-time issuance aligned with schedule
- Prepare or coordinate change orders and estimates as directed by the Project Manager
- Distribute meeting minutes, status reports, and other communications
- Manage action items, RFI, MOC, and closeout/punch lists to resolution
- Develop or improve project team workflows and address audit findings
- Independently coordinate small projects or defined portions of larger multidisciplinary projects
- Operate within approved scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 7 years of engineering experience; typical 10-15 years
- Professional Engineer registration preferred
- PMP certification preferred
- Experience supporting or leading small projects within larger multidisciplinary projects
- Knowledge of multidisciplinary deliverables, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities
- Ability to interpret project scope, specifications, codes, standards, contracts, schedules, estimates, and technical documents
- Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and provide team leadership
- Proficiency with standard office, document-control, scheduling, and project-management tools
