Overview

As an Account Manager, you will drive top-line sales and profitability for major regional distribution accounts within the B2B space. You'll collaborate with Sales Planning and Supply Chain to craft sustainable growth and execute strategic plans. The role blends customer relationship leadership with data-driven decision making to optimize P&L and trade investments. You will work cross-functionally to deliver JBP, forecasts, and measurable performance while advocating for the customer and the business. This is an opportunity to shape growth across leading brands in a dynamic consumer goods environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop account strategies and annual operating plans to meet budgeted revenue and profit targets.
  • Lead the execution and delivery of Joint Business Plans and quarterly business reviews with key customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Merchants/Buyers to drive category plan execution.
  • Utilize SFDC to create opportunities, campaigns, and reporting to improve close ratios.
  • Manage P&L levers including pricing, allowances, rebates, and trade spend with cross-functional input.
  • Conduct cold calling and new lead generation to grow the customer base.
  • Provide monthly sales forecasts and collaborate on end-to-end supply planning with customers.
  • Monitor distribution networks and key metrics (Fill Rate, On-Time, Lead times, In-Stock).
  • Negotiate trade funds and optimize programs to achieve budget targets.
  • Collaborate with demand planning to ensure forecast accuracy and alignment with customer plans.
  • Leverage category development, customer planning, and commercial finance resources to activate business plans.
  • Present plans and recommendations to customers to secure buy-in.
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Business
  • Minimum 5+ years of direct sales experience
  • Experience in CPG/FMCG or consumer durables preferred
  • Ability to analyze syndicated data and communicate findings
  • Experience with a live trade accrual system and retailer POS metrics
  • Selling experience across multiple brands
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and solve issues with proactive ideas
