Vice President, Human Resources - Northwest/Oregon Market

Overview

In this role you lead the people strategy for the Northwest region, guiding HR solutions across culture, workforce planning, learning, diversity and inclusion, employee relations, and labor relations. You will partner with senior leaders to align regional initiatives with national HR goals and drive large-scale programs. You'll shape organizational culture, change management, and workforce capabilities to attract, retain, and develop talent. This role offers the opportunity to influence healthcare employer positioning and lead transformation at scale. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable improvements in engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive people strategy for the region
  • Provide strategic leadership to executive/senior leadership on people strategy
  • Collaborate with business leaders to execute strategies, improve operations and optimize roles
  • Lead cultural changes, change management, and leadership alignment
  • Oversee workforce planning, succession management, and learning initiatives
  • Drive diversity and inclusion, employee wellness, and employee relations
  • Oversee labor relations and negotiate regional/local agreements
  • Participate in national bargaining processes and National HR Leadership Team activities
  • Measure effectiveness of HR initiatives and drive continuous improvement
  • Consult with leaders to develop workforce and competency plans and career development
Key requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in a highly complex and/or unionized environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline
  • Progressive HR leadership experience with at least 5 years in a comparable leadership role
  • Proven ability to develop large teams and diverse, high-performance groups
  • Deep understanding of business environment, strategy, and operational knowledge
  • Knowledge of organization design, change management, succession, workforce planning, employee and labor relations
  • Strong consultation, collaboration, and customized solution design skills
