Overview

In this role you lead pipeline design and analysis for water and wastewater conveyance projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, optimized solutions. You will shape project outcomes from feasibility through construction, in a hybrid setting across Oregon and Washington. Expect to address complex hydraulic analyses, rehabilitation options, and in-service commissioning while engaging clients and stakeholders. Responsibilities
  • Lead pipeline design and analysis, performing advanced hydraulic and pipe design calculations for water and wastewater pipelines
  • Develop detailed designs, specifications, and drawings for complex pipeline projects including alignment studies, hydraulic analyses, condition assessments, rehabilitation, new design, and commissioning
  • Apply industry standards to design and installation of pipelines while ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Provide construction phase engineering support including review of materials submittals and RFI responses to confirm contractual alignment
  • Assess existing pipeline assets and recommend rehabilitation or replacement using various materials and trenchless methods
  • Serve as a technical expert, guiding multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff
  • Contribute to client service and business development by supporting positioning, presenting at conferences, and delivering reports
  • Write technical reports, maintain project documentation, and support quality control processes
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license; licensure in CA, OR, and/or WA preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 10+ years of pipeline engineering experience
  • Experience with pipeline design software and hydraulic modeling tools preferred
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations for water and wastewater infrastructure
