Overview In this role you will lead the development and delivery of plant capital projects, aligning with the Plainfield leadership strategy and Diageo's environmental and sustainability goals. You will manage cross-functional teams to improve packaging lines and processing assets, driving reliability and cost-effective solutions. Your leadership will shape a 5-year asset care plan and capital expenditure program, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This is a high-impact engineering leadership role within our global supply chain and manufacturing network.
Responsibilities- Establish and manage project budgets and objectives with standardized project management practices
- Communicate project status and key metrics to a broad set of stakeholders
- Lead reliability projects on packaging lines and processing areas
- Provide technical guidance to Production Team Leads and maintenance coordinators
- Collaborate with maintenance to develop training plans addressing controls issues
- Monitor progress and mentor team members on projects
- Support production and maintenance on-shift issues and identify training gaps
- Ensure all projects meet Safety, Quality, Environment and Food Safety requirements
Key requirements- 10 years minimum project engineering/management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple work streams to target dates
- MS Office literacy; MS Project is a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
- Strong leadership and management background
- Strong background in Allen Bradley ladder logic programming
