Overview

In this Senior Project Manager role, you will act as the Owner's Representative to align client objectives with scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk on large-scale construction and development projects. You'll lead projects from planning through occupancy, coordinating with architects, engineers and contractors to drive delivery. You'll establish governance, manage changes, and provide strategic guidance on procurement and risk mitigation. This position offers impactful work shaping high-profile programmes and maintaining strong client partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Act as Owner's Representative and single point of contact among clients and design/construction teams
  • Lead projects through planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and closeout
  • Manage scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk to meet client goals
  • Establish project governance, reporting processes, and controls
  • Monitor schedules, budgets, forecasts, contingencies and change orders with recommendations
  • Coordinate design teams, contractors, vendors and consultants
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure stakeholder communication
  • Review design deliverables, submittals and project reports for owner
  • Provide guidance on procurement approaches, contracting strategies, VE, constructability, risk mitigation
  • Identify risks/issues/opportunities and implement corrective actions
  • Manage financial performance including budgeting, cash flow, contingencies and changes
  • Monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and compliance with requirements
  • Support permitting, occupancy, turnover, and closeout activities
  • Prepare executive reports and maintain client leadership updates
  • Develop client relationships and identify opportunities for growth
  • Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across projects
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience, including Owner's Representative experience
  • Strong knowledge of design/construction processes, project controls, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration
  • Experience leading large-scale construction, capital improvement, renovation or development projects
  • Strong organizational, leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
  • Effective presentation skills for executive stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore and construction PM tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience with risk management, cost control, change management and QA processes
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, LEED AP or equivalent are preferred
