Overview In this role you will oversee transportation construction projects to ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery. You will work within an employee-owned culture to coordinate subcontractors, manage project controls, and implement construction management procedures. You'll lead value engineering and constructability reviews while aligning construction with design and safety standards. This position offers impact across communities and opportunities to shape project execution and collaboration at HDR.
Responsibilities- Coordinate subcontractor activities, scheduling, and quality control
- Develop and implement construction management plans and procedures
- Manage document control, submittals, change orders, and budget/schedule tracking
- Perform value engineering, constructability reviews, and procurement support
- Administer construction activities and monitor progress against design requirements
- Coordinate bidding, purchasing, and subcontract packages locally
- Ensure health and safety program compliance and project quality assurance
- Prepare progress reports and manage project setup and temporary facilities
- Review construction schedules and facilitate communications among owner, engineer, and contractor
- Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 10+ years in construction planning and management
- Experience with MS Office and construction management software
- Strong people skills and stakeholder interaction ability
- Active participation in employee-owned culture
- Proficiency with Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
