Overview In this role you will lead on-site construction activities for multiple or large projects, coordinating crews, materials, and timelines. You will partner with Project Managers to forecast resources and manage safety and quality. You'll review design documents, plan schedules, and resolve field issues to keep projects on track. You'll mentor field staff and uphold Mortenson's safety program, contributing to high-performance project delivery. This is an impactful role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, client-facing construction environment.

Responsibilities- Oversee construction activities and assign tasks across on-site teams
- Coordinate with departments to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the schedule
- Collaborate with Project Managers to budget and forecast craft labor, equipment, and consumables
- Review construction drawings for completeness and constructability
- Develop and update project schedules and look-ahead plans
- Coordinate plans with engineers and resolve discrepancies
- Implement site utilization plans and determine crew sizes
- Select formwork systems and equipment
- Lead pre-construction planning sessions and site meetings
- Supervise crews, coach and train foremen and assistant superintendents
- Foster teamwork and ensure resources and support for crews
- Provide work direction and conduct performance evaluations
- Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring and disciplinary decisions
- Develop leadership potential through task assignments and career growth
- Implement the Zero Injury Safety Program at the site
- Manage relationships with visitors including customers, architects, and subcontractors
- Improve site work and logistics as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
Key requirements- Minimum 15 years of construction experience
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a supervisory role
- Experience with solar or overseeing large industrial power projects
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects and tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate)
- Current driver's license
