Overview

As Project Manager - Commercial, you oversee end-to-end construction projects within the Commercial Business Unit, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to schedule and budget. You coordinate with owners, A/E reps, and subcontractors, and guide on-site activities and change management. You'll drive execution plans, monitor costs, and ensure compliance with policies while leading a safety program. This role offers growth within a large firm and opportunities to shape major commercial projects.

Responsibilities
  • Manage entire construction projects from planning to budgeting for the Commercial Business Unit
  • Coordinate resources and ensure project requirements are met within scope, time, and cost
  • Review estimates and contract documents for completeness; manage change orders
  • Oversee on-site activities (scheduling, engineering, material control) and provide day-to-day direction
  • Provide technical guidance on drawings, construction methods, and equipment
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity of subcontractors and Caddell craft employees
  • Administer cost tracking and forecast remaining project costs
  • Prepare execution plans and foster strong relationships with customers and subcontractors
  • Support staff in policy compliance and safety program development
  • Travel as required and report to Construction Executive or VP
Key requirements
  • 10 years' construction industry experience
  • Four-year degree in engineering or construction management
  • Experience managing USG construction projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Understanding of safety, quality, and productivity in construction
  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and change orders
