Overview In this role you guide IT audit projects and supervise staff across diverse client accounts. You'll lead SOC 2 engagements, perform control testing, and ensure timely delivery while mentoring junior auditors. You work closely with clients to foster long-term partnerships and identify opportunities to expand LBMC's services. This position blends hands-on auditing with leadership, growth, and staying ahead of industry trends in information security.

Responsibilities- Lead and supervise SOC 2 projects and IT audit engagements
- Perform IT control testing per defined testing plans
- Document testing procedures and results clearly
- Ensure on-time delivery of assigned jobs to clients
- Mentor and develop Staff and Intern IT Auditors, reviewing their work
- Act as primary contact for staff to assign and review work
- Advance technical skills and stay current with IT audit and security trends
- Contribute to internal governance tool improvements including AI model training
- Participate in leadership roles within community/civic organizations
- Adhere to LBMC processes and regulatory codes (AICPA, state boards)
Key requirements- 2-3 years IT Audit and/or security risk assessment experience
- SOC 2 experience required
- Bachelor's degree (minimum); CISA/CISSP would be highly preferred
- Travel to client sites as required; remote work possible for qualified candidates
- Understanding of SOX, HITRUST, CMMC a plus but not required
- CPA/CISA/CISSP or related certifications advantageous
