Overview

In this role you will drive batch chemical manufacturing improvements and support sustainable solutions for mobility, wellbeing, and everyday life. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep operations safe, compliant, and productive on a 24/7 schedule. You'll own process controls, batch sheets, and process safety activities while guiding troubleshooting and training for operating staff. The position offers exposure to process safety, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives in a global, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own batch sheets, process instructions, batch programming and process controls
  • Provide SME guidance for ADVA & Oilkemia units with emphasis on technology and process control
  • Support Process Safety Management program including MOC, PHA participation, and SOP maintenance
  • Collaborate with technical roles and plant staff to meet safety, productivity, quality, and cost goals
  • Assist in troubleshooting and training operating personnel
  • Coordinate with Reliability, Maintenance, & Improve Process teams to identify improvements and best practices
  • Lead and contribute to root cause investigations for safety, quality, and reliability events
  • Manage off-spec materials and disposition plans
  • Lead/support targeted process and productivity improvement teams
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques
  • Identify and close unit asset utilization and performance gaps
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical preferred)
  • Minimum 4 years of operational experience in a chemical plant
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills across multiple organizational levels
  • Familiarity with data analysis techniques and software
  • Knowledge of lean and continuous improvement concepts/tools
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration
