Overview

In this role, you contribute to the AI for Chip Design initiative, shaping high-performance, power-efficient ASICs and GPUs through agentic AI. You will work within cross-functional teams to translate research breakthroughs into practical RTL designs and verified implementations. You help drive innovation at the intersection of research, engineering, and product development, with opportunities across consumer graphics, autonomous driving, and AI workloads. This is a chance to influence future computing platforms and stay at the forefront of AI-driven chip design.

Responsibilities
  • Document and deliver design guidelines to enable RTL implementation that meets performance, area, and power targets.
  • Develop agentic AI solutions to craft micro-architecture, implement RTL, and deliver fully verified, synthesis/timing-clean designs.
  • Collaborate with designers and tool/flow owners to ensure guidelines and AI solutions meet requirements.
  • Apply AI to tackle complex chip-design problems and drive industry-wide innovation.
  • Design and deploy LLM-powered solutions for engineering assistants and multi-turn, multi-modal dialogue systems.
  • Stay abreast of ML/AI advancements to create powerful design solutions.
Key requirements
  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in micro-architecture and RTL development (Verilog) in complex designs
  • Deep understanding of ASIC design flow including RTL, verification, synthesis, and timing analysis
  • Exposure to Digital systems, VLSI design, Computer Architecture, and Computer Arithmetic
  • Proficiency in rapid prototyping using Python with strong data structures/algorithms
  • Experience with fine-tuning large language models, building multi-agent systems, RAG pipelines and vector databases
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to thrive in dynamic, distributed teams
