Overview As a Control Systems Design Engineer at Olsson, you design instrumentation and control systems for industrial facilities and collaborate with multiple disciplines and clients. You will manage specifications, drawings, and field activities, and may travel to project sites for meetings and construction support. Your work includes selecting instrumentation, PLCs, HMIs, and networking components, plus developing control sequences and performing submittal reviews. You contribute to project management and help deliver sustainable, purpose-driven engineering that improves communities.

Responsibilities- Design instrumentation and control systems for industrial facilities
- Coordinate with other disciplines, teams, subconsultants, clients, vendors, and contractors
- Manage tasks including instrumentation and control system design, specifications, and drawings
- Occasional travel to project sites for meetings and construction administration
- Select process instrumentation, PLCs, and HMI equipment
- Select networking components and media (copper, fiber, wireless)
- Develop control system sequences of operations
- Perform submittal reviews and field inspections
- Project management responsibilities
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 0-5 years of experience
- FE license preferred
- Strong communication skills
