Overview As Direct Sales Manager, you lead the MLO team to drive growth and profitability in Truist Mortgage. You will align the team with strategic plans, coach and recruit to build a high-performing sales force, and strengthen internal and external partnerships. You'll advance the client experience through digital tools and ensure compliant, efficient mortgage delivery. This role offers impact through shaping mortgage sales strategy and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities- Achieve production goals through personal and team performance, including coaching and recruiting a productive sales force.
- Lead and execute a strategic sales plan with strong relationship management of COIs and internal partners; drive business development for the MLO team.
- Ensure compliance with lending policies, federal regulations, and quality control standards across the team.
- Model and promote a superior digital client experience and efficient mortgage processes to strengthen client and partner relationships.
- Facilitate partnerships between sales and operations; assist with document follow-up as required by quality control or post-closing review.
- Stay informed on real estate market trends, mortgage product developments, and competitive positioning; provide feedback to improve lending delivery.
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related experience
- 5+ years mortgage industry experience or experience in financial services
- Experience managing a team of 4+ Mortgage Loan Originators
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending and various loan types
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to recruit and retain productive teammates
- Active Truist-sponsored NMLSR registration with a unique identifier per SAFÉ act requirements
- Willingness to work varied hours and up to 25% travel
