Biotronik

Lake Oswego, Oregon

Job description

Overview

In this role you will lead the design of ultra-low-power analog and mixed-signal ICs for implantable medical devices, supporting development from concept to production. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-quality silicon that meets clinical and quality requirements. You'll contribute across architecture, circuit design, layout, verification, and test, shaping devices that improve patient outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to influence high-stakes medical technology in a collaborative, quality-driven environment. You will be empowered to apply advanced research and engineering judgment to complex problems and drive awareness of design-control,制造

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance, ultra-low-power analog and mixed-signal ICs for implantable medical products
  • Contribute to full IC design lifecycle: concepts, architecture, partitioning, detailed circuit design, layout, verification, and documentation
  • Design blocks such as references, op-amps, comparators, ADCs/DACs, oscillators, and power/control circuits
  • Develop digital blocks for timing, interfacing, and signal processing and create behavioral/system models for verification
  • Pre-silicon and post-silicon verification, collaborating with test engineers to define production vectors
  • Apply clinical, regulatory, quality, manufacturing, and test requirements to design decisions and documentation
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and junior engineers
Key requirements
  • 6+ years in analog/mixed-signal IC design for low-power portable or implantable applications
  • Strong grasp of CMOS processes, device models, and circuit analysis including noise, bandwidth, margins, and Monte Carlo
  • Experience delivering production-quality silicon and robust layout techniques for ultra-low-power designs
  • Working knowledge of Cadence tools: Virtuoso XL, Spectre, Xcelium/AMS, Maestro; plus mixed-signal signoff
  • Lab bench characterization, test-vector generation for pre/post-silicon verification, design-for-manufacturing testing
  • Strong verbal communication and technical documentation skills
