Overview In this role you will lead environmental permitting and assessment work across the Gulf region, collaborating with cross-functional teams to secure regulatory approvals. You'll guide studies from wetland delineations to species surveys and coordinate with agencies and stakeholders. You will mentor junior staff and drive quality, safety, and timely delivery on energy, infrastructure, and development projects. This position offers field exposure, travel, and meaningful impact on client communities and the environment.

Responsibilities- Support projects and client relationships in energy, development, and infrastructure sectors
- Lead teams conducting wetland delineations, species habitat assessments, and vegetation/mapping surveys
- Coordinate agency communications and oversee technical assessments and project execution
- Assist with work plans, team assembly, task delegation, and ensuring scope compliance and timely delivery
- Establish and maintain QA/QC and safety plans for projects
- Provide mentorship to early career staff and potential direct supervision
Key requirements- Thorough understanding of environmental impact analysis methods and NEPA requirements (401, 402, 404 CWA)
- Knowledge of environmental compliance for public and private infrastructure projects
- Working knowledge of agencies such as USACE, USFWS, BIA, BLM, and FERC, plus related DOT/FHWA/FAA agencies
- Demonstrated QA/QC practices
- Experience managing multiple projects and motivating teams
- Willingness to travel up to 75% and valid driver's license
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in environmental science, rangeland science, biological resources or closely related field
- Experience leading delineations, preferably in the Gulf Region (TX, OK, LA, MS, AR)
- Local, state, and federal permitting experience a plus
- PWS or similar certification a plus
