Overview In this role, you will develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to support SCE's energy infrastructure. You'll work within the Operational Direct Services Procurement Team to deliver value, innovation, and reliable supplier performance across multiple categories. You help shape procurement strategies, lead competitive events, and negotiate terms that align with safety, reliability, sustainability, and cost goals. This is a chance to contribute to California's clean energy transition while collaborating with cross-functional teams to power communities and the electric grid. You will drive impact by optimizing supplier engagement and sourcing outcomes.
Responsibilities- Drive innovation and improve supplier management processes
- Execute purchasing and sourcing strategies to meet delivery, quality, and cost targets
- Analyze risks and gaps to support issue resolution
- Participate in negotiations for moderate-complexity POs, changes, RFx, and contracts
- Train peers and stakeholders on procurement processes
- Maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships as a trusted business partner
- Identify critical suppliers and design engagement plans to manage supply chain risk
- Understand suppliers' positions and develop structured negotiation plans
Key requirements- Three or more years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or contract management
- Experience with purchasing practices, contracts, and standard terms
- Experience sourcing services
