Overview In this role, you will provide SME support, MSEL implementer duties, and scenario development to NWDC for training Maritime Operations Centers across fleets and commands. You will help design and execute Operational Level exercises, shaping how naval and joint forces train under OLW concepts. You will work with cross-functional teams to align training objectives with doctrine and mission needs, delivering impactful synthetic and live events. This is a mission-driven opportunity to influence maritime command and control readiness at scale.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with MOC Training Team on-site contractor staff to meet deadlines and deliver briefs
- Develop synthetic scenarios and injects aligned with naval and joint doctrine for OLW exercises
- Utilize MSEL to track storylines and events and ensure linkage to simulations and C4I assets
- Prepare exercise documents (OPORDs, directives, game books) and manage event control and data collection
- Support debriefs, lessons learned, and incorporation of findings into future exercises
- Provide expert guidance on joint, coalition, and service doctrine relevant to OLW training
- Develop collection plans to support After Action Reports and daily summaries
- Ensure training objectives are supported by scenario elements, MSELs, and related stimulation across live and synthetic environments
- Coordinate with on-site staff to generate reports, talking points, and staff products for NWDC OLW activities
- Assist in construction of operational environments, storylines, and crisis roads to accomplish commander training objectives
Key requirements- U.S. citizen
- 9 years of military operations experience
- Bachelor in Arts or Bachelor in Science or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
- Five years of Modeling and Simulation experience in OLW exercises/Fleet Synthetic Training or equivalent
- Five years of scenario development and MSEL writing experience
- Experience with Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS)
- Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
