Overview In this role you will lead a team on a major LNG construction project, directing craft activities, schedules, and safety adherence to ensure work stays within scope, time, and budget. You will coordinate with engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to apply design changes and maintain productivity. This position emphasizes safety, quality, and project execution on a large-scale energy infrastructure site. You'll contribute to Bechtel's zero-accident philosophy while shaping the on-site construction plan and delivering reliable outcomes.
Responsibilities- Direct craft activities and supervise teams up to 25 craft professionals
- Schedule and review work performed by each craft
- Determine workforce requirements and coordinate area operational plans
- Monitor tool and equipment usage; prepare field material requisitions
- Ensure use of the most current design documents and approve changes
- Ensure subcontractor performance meets specifications, schedules, and budgets
- Interpret engineering design documents and coordinate solutions with subcontractors and foremen/craft professionals
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of single/multi-discipline construction or engineering operations
- Familiarity with Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy and ES&H policies
- Experience on LNG construction sites, preferably along the U.S. Gulf Coast
- Direct hire heavy industrial construction experience related to oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generation (preferred)
- Computer literacy (word processing, spreadsheets, databases)
- Working knowledge of industry codes and standards
