Overview You will lead a Labor & Employment defense practice in San Francisco, guiding sophisticated matters from inception to resolution. Responsibilities- Lead and manage complex labor and employment defense matters from inception through resolution
- Defend employers in wage and hour, PAGA, class and collective actions, and discrimination/retaliation claims
- Handle litigation in California state and federal courts
- Represent employers before DOL, EEOC, and state/local agencies
- Provide strategic employment counseling and risk management advice
- Supervise, mentor, and develop attorneys and staff
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to practice growth
Key requirements- 10+ years of employment defense litigation experience
- Significant experience with wage-and-hour litigation and employment class actions
- Proven leadership, management, and mentoring experience
- Strong advocacy, writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience handling complex matters in state and federal courts
- Active California Bar admission
- Portable business is a plus, but not required
