Overview In this Automation Field Engineer role, you will support servo, motion-control, robotics, and power-electronics products. You'll work with clients and sales to translate needs into solutions and assist with testing, installation, and validation. You'll manage customer projects across engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams, while creating technical documentation and training. This role offers hands-on exposure to automation technologies and a path to influence application development and product possibilities. You'll join a globally connected team in a hands-on, problem-solving environment.
Responsibilities- Dive into and back up servo, motion-control, robotics, and power-electronics products
- Collaborate with clients and sales teams to grasp technical needs and propose solutions
- Tackle application challenges, conduct product testing, and provide installation and validation support
- Manage customer projects in conjunction with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and global teams
- Create technical documentation and deliver product or application training
- Spot customer requirements and contribute to developing new application and product possibilities
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and a passion for industrial automation
- Relevant exposure through projects, labs, internships, co-ops, or professional roles
- Coursework or hands-on experience in power electronics, controls, robotics, motors, drives, embedded systems, or automation
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational abilities
- Aptitude for clear technical communication and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Willingness to travel around 20%, with occasional overnight trips and international travel
- Experience with servo systems, motion control, industrial networks, OEMs, machine builders, or proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is advantageous but not mandatory
