Overview As Chief Security Officer, you will serve as the main advisor on physical security, crisis and incident management, insider threat, and travel and event security to maintain global standards while enabling local execution. You will balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, requiring executive presence and sound judgment. The role shapes security strategy, governance, and culture across Moog's global operations from the Buffalo area. You will drive resilient security programs, leveraging analytics and threat intelligence to inform resources and decisions. Responsibilities- Build the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) team with regional heads and external partners
- Oversee crisis management, incident response, and resiliency planning with robust command structures
- Foster a culture of safety, security awareness, and regulatory compliance across the organization
- Lead change management to embed security culture globally
- Use analytics and threat intelligence to guide strategy and resource allocation
- Translate Global Security strategy into actionable procedures for physical, executive, travel, personnel, and operational security
- Collaborate with Facilities and Real Estate on global expansions and security-driven buildouts
- Lead security assessments and standardize site security measures (access control, CCTV, guard forces) across Moog's footprint
- Lead investigations and liaise with federal, state, and local law enforcement as needed for incidents
Key requirements- 15+ years of progressively responsible security leadership experience, ideally in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in security management, engineering, business administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Certifications: PSP, CPP, or equivalent highly desirable
- Experience with global regulatory frameworks
- Eligibility for high-level security clearance
