Overview As Head of Identity Engineering & Enterprise Security, you will lead a high-impact team to secure LinkedIn's identity, cloud, and infrastructure. You will define roadmaps, mentor engineers, and build durable security controls that reduce risk and enable fast, safe delivery. You'll bridge business strategy with IT execution and partner across Engineering, IT, Compliance, Legal, and Risk. Responsibilities- Build and lead a high-performing Identity Engineering & Enterprise Security team, setting direction and empowering delivery
- Operate identity infrastructure as a mission-critical platform with reliability goals, observable metrics, and rigorous incident learning
- Coach and develop security professionals, engineers, and ops with clear priorities and growth opportunities
- Lead modernization of the identity stack from on-prem Active Directory to Cloud with high resilience
- Measure success through safer, faster access with governance, broad coverage, and auditability
- Mature proactive security controls across corporate systems, cloud environments, endpoints, and SaaS
- Drive cross-functional security initiatives aligning with company objectives, risk tolerance, and needs
- Establish and report on security engineering metrics, program health, and remediation progress
- Evaluate and improve security tooling and processes to reduce systemic risk and increase efficiency
Key requirements- 7+ years in software development, enterprise security, and identity management
- Experience defining strategic roadmaps and managing complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders
- Experience conducting code and architecture reviews and guiding tradeoffs for correctness, performance, scale, and operability
- Experience in cloud infrastructure, IAM, authentication, authorization, workload identity, privileged access, and policy enforcement
- Experience owning security-critical production systems with emphasis on least privilege, auditability, and operability
- 1+ year of management experience or 1+ year of staff-level engineering with management training
- BS (or higher) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience
