Overview As Senior Product Manager at Roku, you own exchange optimization for our programmatic advertising platform, shaping auction dynamics to balance yield, latency, and user experience at scale. You'll drive initiatives across price floors, traffic shaping, and deal optimization, collaborating with data science and engineering to deliver measurable impact for advertisers and the ecosystem. Responsibilities- Define and lead exchange optimization strategy and experiments to maximize auction outcomes and revenue
- Develop traffic shaping and routing policies across supply paths, DSPs, SSPs, and inventory tiers to balance latency and win-rate
- Design and iterate on auction mechanics, pricing dynamics, floor personalization, and pod optimization
- Own experimentation framework for pricing and routing changes with clear metrics on fill rate, CPM, latency, and revenue
- Model and monitor signals influencing advertiser and exchange outcomes; forecast elasticity by inventory segment
- Collaborate with engineering to productionize optimization models into live systems
- Monitor health metrics (QPS, timeouts, win rate, revenue per mille) and adjust as needed
- Engage with demand partners to translate business goals into algorithmic constraints and objectives
- Stay updated on programmatic/CTV trends and industry groups (IAB Tech Lab) to inform strategy
- Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; communicate strategy and progress to leadership
Key requirements- 6+ years of product management experience
- 3+ years in RTB-enabled ad tech with scaled exchange/SSP/DSP experience
- Deep understanding of RTB concepts: auction mechanics, bid requests/responses, and supply path optimization
- Strong knowledge of advertiser and agency dynamics across DSP/SSP/publisher ecosystems
- Experience deploying ML-driven optimization models at scale in RTB
- Strong statistical analysis and experimentation design skills
- Proven cross-functional collaboration with engineering, data science, sales, partnerships, and executives
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a quantitative or technical field
