Overview In this role you own end-to-end social-first commerce content for GQ, from concept to publish. You build native, conversion-optimized assets that stay true to GQ's voice, often working independently without a production crew. You develop new formats and a living playbook to accelerate output and performance at scale. You collaborate with editorial and performance teams to translate data into creative iterations. This position offers the chance to shape paid content formats for a globally known brand and contribute to the broader Condé Nast portfolio.

Responsibilities- Concept, script, shoot, and edit social-first commerce videos end-to-end without a standing crew
- Create multiple variations per product across hooks, formats, and lengths for optimization
- Ensure content feels native to platforms while remaining on-brand and conversion-focused
- Direct talent and assemble freelance crews, sourcing products as needed
- Manage pre- and post-production, including editing, crew, and briefs
- Develop and evolve a GQ-specific library of paid commerce formats and playbooks
- Collaborate with commerce editors to turn recommendations into ready-to-shoot concepts
- Run a tight brief-to-handoff process to Paid Media and Performance teams and track delivery timelines
- Analyze campaign data (CTR, retention, CVR) and iterate on creative based on insights
- Maintain pipeline, with orchestration handled by Exec Director and future program role
Key requirements- 5-7 years in creative development, social production, or commerce content with paid social exposure
- Portfolio of social-first video with demonstrable performance
- End-to-end capability: concept, script, shoot, and edit quickly
- Strong writing and scripting instincts for social video
- Fluency in paid social mechanics: hooks, retention, CTAs, testing frameworks
- Ability to translate brand voice into performance content in editorial settings
- Comfort directing talent on camera and evaluating performance data to inform decisions
- Experience in regulated/high-scrutiny categories (e.g., beauty) is a plus
- Deep fluency in the GQ voice and audience
