Overview

In this entry level role, you join the Product Strategy Group to bridge investment expertise, business strategy, and client engagement. You'll rotate across product areas and investment strategies to build a broad understanding of PIMCO's platform and client needs. You will contribute to product materials, reporting, and market communications while collaborating with multiple teams. This is a launchpad for a long term career in investment management at a leading firm.

Responsibilities
  • Develop deep understanding of investment process, portfolio positioning, and market outlook to credibly advocate for covered strategies
  • Represent the investment team to Account Managers and Client Management across the platform
  • Own and continuously improve product and client-service materials in collaboration with Portfolio Management and Marketing
  • Understand business, stakeholder and client needs; articulate value and product intent to leadership
  • Monitor competitive landscape and contribute perspective on platform growth
  • Apply AI-powered tools to improve recurring workflows and productivity
  • Construct attribution, performance, and risk reporting to explain portfolio positioning and outcomes
  • Write market updates, portfolio commentary, and construction materials communicating investment views
  • Support RFPs and DDQs by drafting and reviewing accurate content
  • Partner with teams on cross-functional initiatives and client-facing deliverables
Key requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, applied science, or related discipline
  • Zero to two years of relevant experience; internship experience in investment management or alternatives preferred
  • Strong mathematical, quantitative, and analytical abilities with detail-oriented mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Bloomberg preferred
  • Demonstrated curiosity about new technologies and AI tools to solve problems
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
  • Intellectual curiosity, high energy, self-starter mindset
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel; strong team player
  • Enthusiasm for financial markets, investing, and macroeconomics
  • Interest in pursuing CFA designation (or active status) a plus
