Overview In this role you will own the end-to-end AR close for a global footprint, combining technical accounting judgment with scalable operations. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with OTC, Revenue, and Transformation teams to ensure audit-ready subledgers and accurate reporting. You will drive AI-first automation to accelerate closes and improve controls, while maintaining balance sheet integrity. This is a high-ownership position that shapes global receivables processes and supports rapid growth with a focus on GAAP compliance and process modernization.
Responsibilities- Own the global AR month-end close, including subledger-to-GL reconciliations, roll-forwards, unbilled revenue, and accruals
- Model AFDA and CECL, prepare provision recommendations, and manage write-offs with audit trails
- Lead AI and automation initiatives to streamline AR workflows using Databricks, LLMs, and analytics
- Maintain AR subledger integrity, flux analyses, and explain variances to senior leadership
- Ensure SOX controls and audit readiness, acting as primary contact for auditors
- Collaborate with Billing Operations, Cash Applications, Revenue Assurance, Revenue Accounting, Corporate Accounting, and FP&A
- Partner on AR workflow redesign for SAP and other systems implementations
- Drive process standardization, data readiness, and testing in finance transformation projects
Key requirements- 6+ years in AR and GL accounting
- CPA
- Strong U.S. GAAP judgment and ability to research and defend accounting conclusions
- Autonomy in a preparer/reviewer framework
- ERP experience (SAP, NetSuite, or similar) to query and reconcile data
- Experience with close management and AR reporting
- M&A accounting exposure a plus
