Overview In this role you will lead substation structural design efforts and coordinate with Physical Electrical teams to deliver power delivery projects from 13kV to 500kV. You will drive QA/QC, resource planning, and cross discipline collaboration with project managers and clients. The position offers exposure to AIS and GIS substations, design codes like IEEE, and international project coordination within a dynamic, client facing environment. Responsibilities- Lead design for foundations, equipment supports, rigid bus, and enclosures in power delivery projects
- Perform QA/QC of structural engineering design packages
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Discipline Leads to meet engineering deliverable timelines
- Allocate resources and track project man-hours
- Review and approve design drawings and calculations for conformance with codes, standards, and client expectations
- Coordinate station drawings with P&C team
- Attend client interactions and project status meetings
- Participate in project planning and proposal development
- Coordinate engineering resources across US and international offices to support project execution
Key requirements- Registered PE preferred, with NCEES Record desired
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field with 8-10 years in power delivery
- Experience with site visits to capture technical data for estimates and substation expansions
- Ability to produce general arrangement drawings, foundation plans, steel elevations, structural details, and Bills of Materials
- Strong client relationship skills and solid technical ability
