Overview On-site construction leader responsible for overseeing field activities to meet design, budget, and schedule. You'll coordinate on-site functions, supervise craft workers and subcontractors, and support project procedures and safety programs. The role focuses on productivity, material and equipment efficiency, and contractual performance. You will work with the Project Superintendent to implement standards and ensure compliance, driving safe, efficient project delivery.
Responsibilities- Supervise on-site construction activities to align with design, budget, and schedule
- Plan, coordinate and oversee on-site functions (scheduling, engineering, material control); may supervise on-site admin staff
- Direct craft employees and contractors as required by the contract
- Assist Project Superintendents in developing procedures, standards and working documents
- Ensure adherence to project procedures and safety rules; document violations and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain productivity, efficient use of materials/equipment, and contract performance
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the Project Superintendent
Key requirements- Overall knowledge and experience in site work construction (earthmoving, dewatering, underground utilities, road and parking lot construction, surveying)
- Willingness to travel out of town or state
- Four years minimum in Heavy Civil Earthwork construction management and/or craft supervision
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, cost control, schedules, safety
- Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical examination
