Overview In this role you design, automate, and manage a large-scale cloud environment using infrastructure as code. You'll build and maintain automation scripts and procedures, enable DevOps workflows, and support a complex cloud platform with containerization tools. You will design cloud architecture, implement secure data practices, and lead Terraform/Ansible pipelines in a multi-account AWS setup. You'll operate within a collaborative security-minded culture that values reliability and efficiency to support OCC's clearing and settlement services.

Responsibilities- Design, configure, implement and manage automated cloud provisioning workflows
- Develop and maintain automation design scripts, processes, and procedures
- Support DevOps development activities with Docker, Kafka, and container management
- Provide advanced system administration, operational support, and incident resolution for a large cloud environment
- Perform cloud build-outs, software installation, maintenance and support
- Write and maintain operating procedures and processes documentation
- Design, develop, and build cloud infrastructure architecture
- Encrypt data using AWS KMS for S3, RDS, EFS, EBS
- Manage Terraform/IaC for AWS VPC and network infrastructure
- Configure and integrate Jenkins pipelines for Terraform and Ansible automation
- Maintain Terraform and Ansible code in GitHub and manage multiple AWS environments (dev, test, prod-parallel, prod)
- Provide technical guidance within the team and liaise between internal departments
- Adopt best practices for management, architecture, DR, administration, and automation of virtualization and cloud technologies
- Work with up to 40% telecommuting

Key requirements- Bachelor in Computer Science (or related) with five years of cloud engineering/related experience
- Experience encrypting data with AWS KMS for S3, RDS, EFS, EBS
- Hands-on automation of AWS network infrastructure using Terraform (multi-VPC, cross-region, secure routing)
- Experience configuring Jenkins pipelines for Terraform and Ansible automation
- Maintaining Terraform and Ansible code in GitHub and managing multiple AWS environments (dev, test, prod-parallel, production)
