Overview As a Quality Engineer on the Solution Engineering Quality team, you design and maintain automated testing for multi-service cloud-native architectures across Cisco Secure Access and Umbrella platforms. You identify architectural risks affecting functionality, performance and scalability, preventing production regressions. You collaborate with development and security teams to root-cause issues and accelerate resolution, while driving test innovation with new tools and approaches. This hybrid RTP, NC role involves cross-functional impact and opportunities to shape platform reliability.

Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks for cloud-native architectures
- Validate multi-service systems from concept to post-launch
- Evaluate architectural risks affecting functionality, performance, and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities and root causes
- Accelerate time-to-resolution for stability issues
- Drive continuous test innovation by benchmarking new technologies and tools
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 6+ years of software quality engineering, system testing, or test automation
- Programming/scripting with Python or Go (Golang)
- Experience testing cloud-native architectures using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS/GCP
- Experience with core networking protocols and VPN technologies (TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, DTLS, IPsec, IKEv2)
