Process Engineer - Manufacturing Ramp

As a Senior Process Engineer in the Focal Plane Operations Process Engineering team, you will lead ramp activities for new and expanding manufacturing operations, coordinating with facilities, suppliers, and engineers to ensure equipment, utilities, and infrastructure meet process needs. You will drive site readiness, startup, and transfer of processes across sites, while implementing improvements based on early build performance. This role offers impact by enabling scalable production of focal plane arrays and related microelectronics. You'll work across functions to deliver reliable, safe manufacturing transitions that support RTX's mission of a safer, connected world.

• Lead planning, execution, and implementation of process ramp activities for new and expanding manufacturing operations
• Partner with process engineers, facilities, and external contractors to ensure utilities, equipment installations, and factory infrastructure meet requirements
• Collaborate with program managers and engineering stakeholders to build integrated ramp schedules and readiness metrics
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to align staff, equipment owners, and support teams on ramp execution and technical requirements
• Monitor process performance during early builds and transitions, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvements
• Support commissioning, qualification, and handoff of new processes and tools to sustaining engineering and operations
• Develop requirements and qualification plans for new equipment procurement

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in Process or Manufacturing Engineering in optics, electro-optics, medical, semiconductor, fabrication, or microelectronics environments
