Overview In this role you perform and report routine and special laboratory tests to support patient diagnosis and monitoring. You work across hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank, and microbiology, ensuring timely, accurate results. You maintain records, follow QC procedures, and address test system issues to uphold quality and safety. You collaborate with clinical staff under supervision to deliver reliable data for patient care. This position offers meaningful work in a long-term acute care setting with a strong focus on quality control and patient safety.

Responsibilities- Perform analyses in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank and microbiology
- Perform venipuncture, finger stick, or heel stick as requested
- Maintain current records for maintenance and quality control
- Follow specimen handling, processing, and reporting procedures
- Document proficiency testing consistency with patient samples
- Adhere to QC policies, calibrations, and maintenance
- Identify and address problems affecting test performance and report
- Apply corrective actions per lab procedures when performance deviates
Key requirements- Bachelor in Medical Technology or related science
- Current license issued by the state (if required)
- Certification as Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist preferred
- 1-2 years acute care hospital lab experience with high complexity testing preferred
- Fluent English; good attendance
