Overview In this role you will lead on-site field operations for large projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. You will manage trade contractors, coordinate with owners and design partners, and drive a proactive safety and quality culture. You'll develop work plans, monitor progress, and optimize site logistics to deliver projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities- Directs and coordinates trade contractors to ensure high-quality, on-schedule work
- Supervises and develops the project team on site
- Manages the project budget for general conditions and site services
- Develops and communicates field work plans and changes
- Leads site walks with owners, architects/engineers, and financiers to show progress
- Maintains contract-document understanding to anticipate problems and coordinate trades
- Ensures permits and inspections are secured with AHJ as needed
- Acts as primary safety representative, driving safety culture across trades
- Develops safety strategies and oversees safety plan implementation
- Leads contractor meetings and reviews daily reports for accuracy
- Communicates schedule status and changes to team and contractors
- Manages jobsite logistics and quality control plans (QIC)
- Leads or participates in preconstruction, writing scopes of work and buyout
- Mentors junior team members and supports career development
- Supports business development and client relationship-building across markets
- Oversees material and crew needs for Next 150/Site Services
- Maintains compliance with safety, labor relations, and project controls
- Leads ground-up construction with foundation experience
- Engages with the local community and regional business development
- Aligns with sales strategies and target profitability
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 15+ years of experience on large commercial/industrial projects or multiple projects in lead superintendent roles
- OSHA 30-hour certified
- STS-C Certification
- First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction software tools
- Knowledge of construction safety processes and ability to enforce safety plan
