Business Development Manager

In this role you drive new business for Weitz's industrial team by developing strategic client relationships and pursuing sales opportunities. You will research market trends, help shape proposals and marketing materials, and support planning efforts across marketing and business development. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide high-quality responses to RFQs/RFPs while representing the company professionally in the market. This is a growth-focused, relationship-driven role with opportunities to influence strategy and outcomes.

• Pursue sales opportunities to win projects and meet division goals
• Manage and expand networks with clients, designers, real estate actors, civic groups, and related firms to generate leads
• Represent the company as needed in the market and ensure high-quality RFQ/RFP responses
• Maintain and utilize leads management system, project information database, and marketing/sales databases
• Coach and coordinate marketing and sales efforts across the team
• Facilitate key account planning and analysis of client satisfaction themes
• Assist in developing periodic marketing plans and research for strategic alignment
• Identify market segments with long-term business opportunities
• Support strategic planning with economic trend analysis and market conditions

• Five years of construction or related industry experience; four years in BD/marketing with management exposure
• Experience in strategic direction and budgeting is helpful
• Strong oral and written communication; ability to influence diverse audiences
• Self-motivated, creative, and skilled at deal-making
• Industrial construction industry experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields; MBA helpful but not required
