Overview In this role you will lead electrical design for building projects across markets such as Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial and Federal. You'll work within HDR's electrical team to coordinate multidisciplinary efforts, develop client relations, and guide projects from design through documentation. You will act as electrical lead on multiple initiatives, ensuring code compliance and timely delivery while mentoring junior engineers. Responsibilities- Coordinate work of Electrical Engineers within a multidisciplinary team across project development
- Establish and nurture client relations; participate in marketing, design and production meetings
- Serve as electrical lead on multiple projects
- Participate in code compliance reviews with governing agencies
- Lead schematic, design development and contract document sessions on-site with PM, architect, and other disciplines
- Manage workload to meet project schedules
- Track project finances and adapt team efforts to stay within budget and schedule
- Direct and mentor other electrical engineers and staff
- Perform additional duties as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- Minimum 10 years of electrical design experience for buildings (lighting/power/systems)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of building electrical power, lighting, signaling, life safety, and building management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; familiarity with electrical design software
