Overview

As the off-shift HR partner, you will provide strategic HR guidance to Operations and Quality to sustain GMP-compliant performance. You'll act as the on-site HR lead for nights and weekends, handling employee relations, investigations, and leave administration while safeguarding operations. You'll drive workforce planning, policy development, and data-driven insights to reduce escalation lag and support cross-shift alignment. This role offers the chance to shape HR practice in a regulated CDMO environment and to influence frontline leadership decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic HR partner to Operations and Quality leadership on organizational development and workforce planning
  • On-site HR lead for assigned shifts, handling employee relations and conflict resolution
  • Lead workplace investigations, manage disciplinary actions, and ensure proper documentation
  • Guide managers through the full Performance Improvement Plan process and coaching
  • Ensure HR compliance with labor laws, FDA regulations, and GMP requirements through audits
  • Develop and administer HR policies aligned with regulatory and governance expectations
  • Support compensation decisions and serve as benefits liaison during shifts
  • Payroll system administration knowledge and shift-based training delivery
  • Analyze HR metrics (turnover, attendance, training compliance, ER trends) and present actionable insights
  • Prepare structured cross-shift handoff reports to ensure continuity between off-shift and day-shift teams
Key requirements
  • 5+ years handling complex employee relations cases independently, including investigations under regulatory scrutiny
  • Demonstrated ability to influence managers and leaders, delivering recommendations even when unpopular
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-risk, regulated environment
  • Confident, data-driven approach to identify trends and make recommendations
  • Extensive knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and GMP familiarity
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and HR analytics tools
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills
  • High professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
  • Experience with PEOs and co-employment models (preferred)
