Overview In this role you lead the Retail Operations function to scale a multi-store fleet with consistent brand standards. You partner across Retail, Planning, Merchandising, Finance and Tech to drive efficiency, profitability, and smooth store openings. You will define scalable operating models, implement SOPs, and pilot innovative tools to reduce friction and boost store performance. Responsibilities- Define and evolve the retail operating model to support fleet expansion and revenue growth
- Build a 1-3 year operations roadmap with systems, staffing, and scalability
- Own operational KPIs such as store productivity, labor efficiency, and profitability contribution
- Build and lead the Retail Operations team and scale as the business grows
- Serve as cross-functional connector between Retail, Planning, Merchandising, Finance and Technology
- Develop, document, and maintain scalable SOPs across all store operations
- Create a centralized operations playbook and ensure location consistency with market nuance
- Audit and refine processes to improve efficiency and reduce in-store friction
- Design and implement operational training programs for store teams and leadership
- Identify gaps and evolve training based on business needs and store feedback
- Identify, evaluate, pilot new tools/systems (e.g., RFID, workforce management, POS enhancements) and build ROI cases
- Lead end-to-end implementation with testing, rollout, and training
- Plan for successful new store openings with cross-functional alignment
- Oversee facilities, maintenance, and vendor management related to stores
- Monitor OpEx budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising experience
- Own end-to-end inventory processes and KPI reporting to ensure health and accuracy
- Lead shrink reduction strategies and improve product flow across Planning and Allocation
Key requirements- 5-10+ years of retail store and operations experience in a multi-store, high-growth environment
- Strong understanding of inventory management, store systems, and workflows
- Experience leading new store openings and scaling retail infrastructure
- Proven ability to build SOPs and training programs from scratch
- Analytical mindset with experience managing budgets and operational KPIs
- Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven
- In office (Cerritos) and willingness to travel up to 60% for store visits and openings
