Manufacturing Manager - West Coast

Overview

In this role you lead the West Coast manufacturing operation to meet safety, quality and cost targets while aligning with Nutrien's mission to feed the future. You will collaborate with operations, logistics and production teams to ensure product availability for forecasted demand and seasonal orders. You drive continuous improvement, manage compliance with ISO standards, and develop the site team to perform at high levels. This is a hands-on leadership role in a purpose-driven, community-focused company.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations and optimize production to meet customer demand and budgets
  • Execute production schedules in collaboration with the Production Manager
  • Assess facility resource needs and ensure health & safety, storage, and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and site accountability
  • Implement and oversee preventative maintenance for all assets
  • Drive continuous improvement to increase site efficiency and reduce cost per litre
  • Minimise downtime to boost operational performance and cost efficiency
  • Lead training and development of staff and ensure compliance with manufacturer and company hazardous substances requirements
  • Coordinate and participate in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audits and related safety reviews
Key requirements
  • Proven success in a similar Manufacturing Manager role with diverse workforce experience
  • Experience in the AgChem industry or knowledge of agricultural products is strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence at all levels
  • People management experience with strong leadership capabilities
  • Manufacturing scheduling and lean manufacturing experience is highly desirable
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office; SAP experience is advantageous
