Overview In this role you will lead the plant maintenance program to keep production equipment reliable and safely run a semi-automated pallet facility. You will manage a maintenance team, drive process reliability and continuous improvement, and oversee capital projects and cost-effective asset care. The role supports CHEP's safety-first, efficiency-driven operational ethos and offers cross-functional collaboration in a global logistics setting. This is a hands-on leadership position with a strong impact on plant performance and sustainability.

Responsibilities- Develop and manage a robust preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and boost plant efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and enforce Zero Harm policies during maintenance
- Implement process reliability systems and lead continuous improvement to meet reliability targets
- Manage spare parts procurement, inventory, and budget control to support maintenance
- Lead and support capital expenditure projects for equipment upgrades and plant improvements
- Monitor utilities usage (electricity, gas, water) to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure regulatory compliance through safety audits, equipment testing, and asset management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team with staffing, training, and performance management
Key requirements- 2-3+ years of people management experience in engineering or industrial maintenance (FMCG preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on electro-mechanical repair and maintenance experience (hydraulic & pneumatic tools, machinery)
- HNC Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering desirable
- Knowledge of budgeting and CAPEX processes
