Overview In this Principal Platform Engineer role, you will drive the development, testing, deployment, and release of enterprise applications with high uptime and frequent iterations. You join a selective team building a dynamic delivery platform and automated software factory to empower developers across Fortune 500 clients. You will contribute to scalable automation, APIs, and self-service tools while upholding rigorous testing and governance. Responsibilities- Develop and maintain accelerators for automated delivery pipelines, infrastructure, and policy as code
- Create extensible automation and dependency management frameworks
- Build event-driven functions, APIs, backend services, CLIs, and self-service developer portals
- Ensure comprehensive testing (unit, security, governance, functional) across code and deployments
- Deploy and customize the delivery platform to enable rapid value delivery for developers
- Support deployment of common tools (Jenkins, monitoring, logging, SCM) from code
- Contribute to cloud and application orchestration and participate in peer reviews
Key requirements- 1+ years coding in Python, TypeScript, or Golang
- 1+ years scripting in Bash or PowerShell
- 6+ years networking (security, DNS, VPN, Cloud, load balancing)
- 6+ years systems administration (Linux or Windows)
- 5+ years on at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- 4+ years CI/CD experience
- 4+ years serverless or container-based architecture
- 4+ years Infrastructure as Code (IAC) experience
- Experience with cloud and application orchestration code and peer reviews
- Ability to deploy and manage tools from code (Jenkins, monitoring, SCM)
