Overview As part of Stripe's Financial Partnerships team, you will shape and execute high-impact strategies with AMER bank partners to enable Stripe's product suite. You'll collaborate with Product to support Treasury, Issuing, Capital, and Crypto initiatives, defining partner requirements and steering negotiations and deployments with global partners. The role requires coordinating with cross-functional teams and senior partner executives to launch new offerings that benefit Stripe users and expand MaaS capabilities. This position offers the chance to influence strategic partnerships at scale and drive meaningful fintech innovations.
Responsibilities- Manage critical bank partner relationships and drive joint initiatives and new offerings for Stripe users
- Lead methodical partner and deal management with milestone-driven negotiation and mutual opportunity alignment
- Craft partnership and product strategies using industry knowledge and drive deal execution
- Coordinate with internal teams (Risk, Compliance, Product, Engineering, Treasury) to align on partner-related strategies
- Identify and educate Stripe champions within partner organizations and secure executive alignment
- Oversee strategic planning, negotiation, and expansion activities with key partners
- Design and develop new models for money movement and extend use cases across Treasury, Issuing, Capital, and Crypto
- Lead teams through complex relationship-management activities with clear vision and tight processes
Key requirements- 10+ years in strategic partnerships, business development, or related fields, with experience managing banking partners at payment service providers or fintechs
- Advanced knowledge of banking/clearing across geographies, including transaction banking, e-money, multicarrier, and cross-border payments
- Experience building proprietary issuing, collection, and payout networks (preferred)
- Experience negotiating complex commercial deals with bank partners and scaling them
- Strong understanding of fintech business models, compliance, and risk management
- Proven ability to work in product-centric environments with cross-functional dependencies (Product, Engineering, Legal, Sales, Risk, Compliance)
- Experience executing industry-wide partnership strategies to create innovative product experiences and GTM models
- Strong negotiation skills and strategic ambition to create value and differentiation for Stripe
