Overview

In this role you drive new business opportunities by partnering with Sales, Marketing and Category Management to qualify leads and build a strategic pipeline. You'll develop quantitative analyses and business cases to evaluate opportunities, acquisitions or joint ventures, and you'll report on progress to leadership. You will collaborate across teams to execute development initiatives and maintain a robust, growth-focused pipeline. This position offers cross-functional impact within Wesco's distribution and logistics ecosystem and opportunities to lead small to mid-scale projects.

Responsibilities
  • Identify customer lead opportunities with Sales, Marketing and Category Management and convert them into potential opportunities
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative pipeline analysis and status updates to management
  • Develop and use tools to build tactical/strategic business cases including revenue, conversion probability, costs, risks and benefits
  • Maintain relationships with Sales, Marketing and Category Management to sustain a healthy opportunity pipeline
  • Create and distribute monthly reports on business development and integration activities
  • Standardize information collection on business profiles including financial background for strategic acquisitions and joint venture candidates
  • Support various business development initiatives across teams
Key requirements
  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • 2+ years in financial services/business development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Analytical skills in finance and accounting; financial statement analysis; financial modeling
  • Ability to lead small to medium scale projects
  • Detail-oriented in delivering quality deliverables
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels of personnel
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
  • Ability to manage moderately complex, parallel projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to travel up to 25-50%
