Overview In this role you drive regional growth by leading a Market Back Plan across multiple LP businesses, coordinating channel development and downstream sales. You'll recruit and coach a 8-12 person sales team, align regional efforts with LP objectives, and optimize profitability for non-operations factors. You will partner with cross-functional leaders to shape market access and pricing strategies in a large, multi-market region. Responsibilities- Develop and execute a regional Market Back Plan to meet budget and growth targets for multiple product lines
- Recruit, develop, and mentor the regional sales team (8-12 employees) and implement succession planning
- Manage distribution channels and builder/dealer partnerships to maximize market reach and profitability
- Forecast by product category, review quarterly variances, and align with regional and corporate objectives
- Negotiate pricing, product mix, and growth targets with owners, GMs, Sales & Purchasing managers
- Analyze market segments (Single Family, Multi-Family, Repair/Remodel, Non-Residential) to expand channel access and builder usage
- Coordinate field, business, and corporate marketing efforts to support plan execution and reduce channel conflict
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers and downstream partners and serve as product/market captain when needed
- Travel extensively (60%+) to support sales development, mentoring, and cross-territory initiatives
- Ensure team understands the regional role in achieving overall business strategy
Key requirements- 10 years of sales and/or marketing experience, including 5 years in people management
- Proven leadership and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of distributors, dealers, builders, and regional construction methods
- Demonstrated marketing/sales capabilities and financial acumen
- Experience in developing and implementing business plans and measuring their impact
- Proven recruitment, development, and mentoring of sales staff
- Ability to interpret financial statements and manage regional budgets and pricing
