Overview In this role you lead environmental sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives for DoD projects, applying technical leadership to DoD challenges. You drive EMS improvements, conduct audits, and guide policy interpretation and reporting. Responsibilities- Lead environmental sustainability strategies to reduce impacts and promote sustainable practices
- Oversee environmental assessments and audits for compliance with federal, state, and DoD regulations
- Develop and implement energy optimization plans including renewable integration and conservation measures
- Perform complex energy audits and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Ensure compliance with environmental and energy regulations, including DoD-specific requirements
- Lead technical leadership and mentorship for junior engineers and cross-functional collaboration
- Lead proposal development and deliver technical presentations for DoD projects
- Act as SME on environmental and energy topics and engage stakeholders
- Represent the organization at conferences and technical forums
- Support DoD programs like IEWP, UP, and ESA through specifications, data analysis, and reporting
- Present technical summaries to peers and review existing or new system designs
- Coordinate with CAD specialists and project teams on task scheduling and resource estimation
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, or regulatory compliance
- In-depth knowledge of federal and DoD environmental and energy regulations
- Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
